Known as “the plant of immortality” by the Ancient Egyptians, and treasured by numerous subsequent cultures, aloe vera it still known today for its many health benefits. The plant was known to hold the secrets to beauty, health, and immortality, hence it was known as “the plant of immortality.” Both Cleopatra and Nefertiti were known to use and value the juice of the plant as part of their daily beauty routines.
In Martie Whittekin’s book: Aloe Vera – Modern Science Sheds Light On An Ancient Herbal Remedy, she says “…the more often aloe is applied, the more its cumulative effects can rejuvenate skin cells and encourage healthy cell regrowth. Aloe is the perfect addition in a natural beauty regimen, not only to enhance moisture retention, but also to provide anti-aging effects, promote skin cell growth, and heal skin irritations.”
Wow! She confirms everything I’ve always told you about the miracle plant, Aloe Vera. She explains that it is “fairly common to find aloe in the ingredient lists on both mainstream and natural cosmetics and lotions. Usually it’s the moisturizing effects that are promoted. As I mentioned, you need at least 30% concentration for aloe to be effective in these products, and when it’s included at that concentration level, it does much more than just moisturize.”
Just a dribble of aloe won’t do anything for your skin so look for it at the beginning of the ingredient list on the back of the product. Hello Gorgeous Ultra Aloe Care offers aloe in the first two ingredients and contains as much as 40% to 70% aloe in all our products. We have created an “enhanced polysaccharide effect” by adding aloe concentrate to aloe gel, doubling its properties. We call this a 200% aloe vera base, instead of water.
Aloe contains over 200 compounds chief among which are 20 minerals, 18 amino acids (8 of which are essential and cannot be produced by the body), 12 vitamins and antioxidants, 12 natural substances that inhibit inflammation, moisturizing plant sugars called polysaccharides, and activating enzymes. Whittekin explains that it is the synergistic effect of the combination of all these ingredients that produce amazing healthy benefits. There is not a ‘magic ingredient’ that can be isolated and patented like many cosmetic products promote. So, aloe vera will never be owned by the pharmaceutical companies, a famous model, or beautiful movie star.
I believe God gave us this awesome plant to use for healing and longevity. I fell in love with it over 35 years ago and am so proud it is the base for our products instead of water. You get 100% nutrition with my Ultra Aloe Skin Care, (not a bunch of water and useless fillers) which is lots of ammunition to fight the war on aging. Invest in your face now, so you don’t have to invest in a plastic surgeon later. It has worked for me! So why aren’t you using it?
